Burning Heart

Stoke the fires of passion,
With words or actions sweet,
The low roar of romantic flame,

-This burning heart within,

Feed the warmth with fuel,
Of delightful dreams in mind,
Swept away in deepest draught,

-This burning heart within,

Lose yourself in the moment,
Under a crackle of a sigh,
Leaping and dancing are the drums,

-Of this burning heart within.

 In another Place

Every moment spent in your gentle arms,
Such peaceful and relaxing calm,

Each word that's uttered soft and low,
Provokes my love for you to grow,
All the ways to say I Adore You,
I'd say them if I knew how to,
Just take my hand and know my thought,
Know the touch of love that's sought,
See into my eyes beyond the line,
Of spirit, of aura, of mind,
Can you tell that secret inside,
Which makes the eyes sparkle so wide?
Can you understand my soul,
Complete me and make me whole?
For if this is an incomplete shape,
You'd be the other half to make,
My aching desire to touch your face,
Outside of the mind, in another place.

For The Love Of Poetry

For the love of Poetry, why do they not write,
This ancient art of words, ours by right,
A spoken song or an uttered verse,
A way to communicate, a way to converse,
For the love of Poetry don't let it die,
'Screw the writer's block!' We sigh,
Rhyme it or don't it's up to you,
Whatever just write it and show your view,
For the love of Poetry, we must not let it end,
As on this old tradition many of us depend,
Jot it in a notebook, or anywhere you plan,
Scribble them down however, however you can,
For the love of Poetry rid this writers block,
Erase the blankness of mind and move the ticking clock,
Poetry is a way, to express and to release,
So join us in our way and get writing please!

Slave To Love

What's inside is clear to me,

I see it in your eyes,

In your arms I am free,

Now nothing to despise,

Surround me with the light you are,

And hold me close to you,

Whether you are near, or far,

You know that I love you,

Forever I will be your slave,

I am yours completely,

Until I lay within my grave,

I shall look upon you sweetly.

*****

Forbidden Heart Of Love

What I wouldn't give to hold you this night,

To stroke your face and embrace you tight,

What I wouldn't give to touch your skin,

Lost in the moment in Love like sin,

What I wouldn't give to turn it all around,

To listen to your beating heart,

Hear its rhythmic and magnetic sound,

What I wouldn't give to turn back any time,

What I wouldn't give in gladness,

To show you the heart of mine,

What I wouldn't give to tell you just how much,

If only time would give me just a moment of your touch.

Tapestry Of Life

Moments which are sewn together,

A journey of life to endeavour,

Like a quilt which covers a pathway,

Where the sun lights our day,

Patterned and imprinted minutes,

Endlessly repeating yet not quite infinite,

Some good some bad and in unique truth,

These are our moments laid bare from our youth,

Of time which has passed, right up to now,

Building a blanket of memory somehow,

Pinned to your Spirit, evolving your Self,

Your tapestry of life, your written wealth,

Defining your being are the moments you utilize,

The lessons you learn are what makes you wise,

Holding on to the frayed and loose threads,

The memories of living which circle my head,

Every action taken and recorded for recall,

Every positive and negative no matter how small,

All things are printed on this tapestry,

Can never be erased you see.

*****

Battle Of Wills

The pushing and pulling,

Dragging and stalling,

Of two minds,

Calling,

A contradiction of idea.

Where words are voiced,

And actions relayed,

By emotions,

Un-swayed,

Fresh in the mind and clear.

"I Live On Vibrant Earth, Yet Only Underground"

Loves butterflies

The Sun never sets,
It just ducks down,
The gentle Moon appears,
A shadow of itself,
In a dreamy World,
Where sleeping lovers lie,
Tucked safely in their beds,
Kissed by night's embrace,
And warmed by softly whispered words,
Upon the breeze of a faint butterfly's wings,
Carrying their dreams from afar.

The Arrow

What light hath thee,

O' gentle sparkling eye,

Which twinkles for heart of mine,

Star-like and so divine,

What heavy river floweth from you dost creep,

With softly whispered word to speak,

O master of me thou art mine and thine be yours,

Passionate, relentless and no remorse,

It slowly taketh hold and masters me,

I am lost to it's ocean on white horses I ride,

-free,

Such pleasures from a feeling so content,

In life of love which is to be spent,

Where layeth this devotion until arrow be shot,

And all trouble but love is then forgot,

Then Angels would sing and wings would spread,

The Spirit would soar and the Devil would dread.

For The Love Of Music

Music.

-Where heartbeat takes on the drums,

And feet mimic the dance steps of symphony,

Harmony of mind and spirit are as one,

Becoming lost in the moment.

Things Unsaid

Oh to make me laugh and smile,

Making the most of this little while,

It’s rare to meet one such as you,

A blinding sight from a back-seat view,

Trembling are these arms held wide,

The heart of mine, fires burning inside,

Yet I cannot hold nor reach out to touch,

Or say what you really mean to me and such,

Imprinted within my memory will be,

The things and people which once set me free,

No material object could ever replace you,

The body may crumble but never my view,

Keeping me willing to hold the fort,

The world falls away when you are in thought,

Dispersing before me and drowning my soul,

With the image of you out of my control,

What force to hold the tongue in silence,

Not with threat of word nor violence,

Just cannot be spoken nor ever said,

The words in my heart, and in my head,

So grateful am I for everything passed,

The memories at least may live and last,

Those minutes and hours fading away,

Until it happens and it will one day,

Then maybe I’d return and be able to hold,

You close to me as I lay cold,

Without being detected a ghostly arm,

To wrap you safe and keep you from harm,

Where my words could be voiced upon the wind,

Outside the barriers of a restrained mind.

Beneath His Gaze

And she turns;
he warms her,
she trembles underneath,
he penetrates deeply,
then can be heard soft moans,
and tides that sweep,
beneath his gaze,
below her waist,
the glorious heat;
-the sun's rays, and the earth,
to gently fade in time.

*****

You Fill Me

You fill me with a warmth,
That I cannot explain,
You fill me with a desire,
And all of loves' insane,

You fill me with this vibe,
That I'd not want to shift,
You fill me with the waves,
Of passion and I'm adrift,

You fill me with a feeling,
That can't be put to word,
You fill me with yourself,
Let the emotion be heard,

You fill me with a need,
A want and also a hope,
You fill me with your smile,
And throw the rescue rope,

You fill me with something,
That I could never have guessed,
You fill me with your energy,
And to know you I am blessed.

Smile

Smile.
In the moment, for a while.
Go the extra mile.
Trial.
No denial.
To grin.
It's not a sin.
Just give in.
Let laughter win.
See what happiness brings,
All life's nicer things,
Happy.
No more crappy.
Trees with leaves,
Dancing in the air,
Some dark some fair,
Without a care,
Whispers amongst them,
In eerie voice,
Their choice,
Mutterings of time passed,
Swaying a -blast,
Their energy cast,
Upon the breeze,
Those trees,
And their wisdom of ages,
Written on wooden pages,
And told in stories by old Sages.

Love is not dead

The year was young and yet were we,
Bound to our own eternity,
We had our own though each our lives,
But passion grew stronger within our eyes,

Such songs were sung in Love's cause,
Your hand in mine and my hand in yours,
Though time can tame a heartbeat,
May memory never succumb to a defeat,

All the years long and long though that time,
You forever had the heart of mine,
Not held by ignorance nor of high walls,
You; my best friend, my all.
